The bill set aside $1 billion in funds for the program every year from fiscal year 2022 through the 2026 fiscal year. ![]() It is one of 99 airport terminal projects that will get funds from this year's round of the Airport Terminal Program set up by the Federal Aviation Administration via the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The airport has an idle-free policy and we encourage drivers to abide by this policy in the Park and Wait Lot.Federal aviation officials on Monday announced they are sending $29 million to Salt Lake City International Airport as the airport plans to add 16 new gates to Concourse B in the next few years. Once the flight has arrived and time is allowed for passengers to receive luggage, the sign indicates “ready for pick up.” However, the airport encourages drivers to wait for pick-up until passengers are at the curb, confirming with their driver via cell phone. The Park and Wait Lot offers an alternative to circling the terminal or parking in the hourly/daily parking lot and provides large electronic flight information signs displaying flight arrival information. The lot is located west of Terminal Drive, just south of the Terminal. The airport’s free Park and Wait Lot allows drivers to wait for arriving passengers until they are ready to be picked up. We offer a number of complimentary garage / in-lot services that can help you in time of need. If you return to the garage or Economy Parking Lot after a trip and find you have a problem with your vehicle we’ll be happy to assist you. Whether it’s a dead battery, a flat tire, no fuel, or you just can’t find your car our support staff will be there to help. To make your parking experience more convenient and stress free, the airport provides free shuttle service between the parking lot and the terminal. The shuttles run every five to seven minutes. Free shuttle service is provided to the terminal from our Economy Parking Lot. The Economy Parking Lot is located south and west of the terminal building. ![]()
